Established in 2000, the Teacher Inquiry Communities (TIC) Network is a national network that
supports NWP sites interested in taking an inquiry stance toward
teaching and learning.
The goals of the TIC Network are to
support site practices that promote the professionalization of practice through teacher inquiry
provide
tools, resources, and a range of frameworks for sites interested in supporting teacher inquiry communities and
practitioner research
generate, sustain, and advocate for
collaborative teacher dialogue that builds from reflective, systematic,
and intentional inquiry
disseminate knowledge gained from local teacher-researchers and teacher inquiry communities within the NWP network
promote Writing Project communities interested in critical inquiry and inquiry as stance.
