Welcome to the South Coast Writing Project at UCSB!

Whether you are a classroom teacher seeking to improve your classroom practice, a school administrator looking to change the culture of your school, or student writer wanting a place to join with other writers, we are for you.

The South Coast Writing Project (SCWriP) is a professional learning network for teachers at all grade levels in all subjects. Founded in 1979 as a site the National Writing Project (NWP) and the California Writing Project (CWP), SCWriP seeks to transform the teaching of writing and literacy and strives to be a model of professional learning, teacher leadership, and reform. We do this by working with teachers, schools, districts, students, and families. Please join us.
