The Upstate Writing Project would like to invite your site to join us in an In-service Development Retreat February 17-18 to bring together site leaders to examine the work involved in planning, delivering and sustaining professional development. This site-sponsored retreat that came out of requests at the Annual Meeting for more time to talk and learn about in-service work is designed to develop a network of colleagues with the common goal of creating in-service programs that will generate revenue for their Writing Project sites.

The Upstate Writing Project In-service team of Teacher Consultants will lead activities that will explore professional development models, summer training formats, and the business model (proposals, contracts and budgets). Time will be provided for sites to share expertise and make plans to expand the work at their sites. Participants will receive access to a Google sites for resources.

When: Friday, February 17 from 4:00pm-7:00pm; Saturday, February 18 from 8:00am-4:00pm

Cost: Writing Project Site Team of 3-$350 (Individuals-$150)
