3D Systems (the company that makes the Cube and Cubify) is sponsoring a new scholarship within the 90 year old Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. It might be something students with a design background would be interested in. 

 

The Scholastic Awards have been around for 90 years and have recognized everyone from Andy Warhol to Meryl Streep in their middle & high school years. We are sponsoring a new category called the Future New, which challenges students to use new technologies to express bold and innovative ideas. As part of the program we are offering some free 3D design software for students as well as awarding 3 students who submit 3D design/printing based pieces with a $1000 scholarship. The Scholastic Awards also offer their own monetary awards and many levels of recognition. There is more information below.
