Interesting post, Tom. Thanks for sharing this. Is this part of an ongoing project at Great Valley? I'm thinking that this would be a great contribution to the Literacy and the Common Core community too.
Elyce, The 4 of us are members of the California writing project's ISAW leadership group, and in Feb. we each received an ipad as part of our involvement. This meeting on Sat. 3/31 was simply for all of us to sit down in one place with the machines and talk about how we're using them and how we'd like to use them in the future. We did this because we know and trust one another, and we figured that any time we could talk would be productive. That discussion lasted about 2 1/2 hours, and was great. We then just started talking about the CCSS, and we realized how ignorant we were about the other discipline's requirements. That discussion went on for nearly 2 more hours, and was even better. I filmed one small part of it.
