Oh, to be the first and only to respond to my own question! For DLD week (day just didn't quite work for us), we used 2 iPods, 1 iPad, and our school computer lab (20 computers--we go 30 minutes a week) with our 42 primary-aged students to blog, record voices, explore, and even entered an online contest! Check out the short video that captures snippets: http://animoto.com/play/T38k8FixYT55qSCorl6J0A I'd still love to hear about your day (or week). What did you do with your students?
My students got into Glogster.edu and began to build digital posters connected to a short story project they were just finishing up. It was really a day to talk about how multimedia can become part of writing, and also about design elements.

Here is one example of what a student has completed: http://4abbe12.edu.glogster.com/the-best-field-trip-ever-/?
