Hello everyone,
Here's a quick question:
I've been working with teachers K-12 in southern Vermont, analyzing
student work re strengths and needs, and discussing ways to address
these through sound, engaging classroom practice.
Next week I begin with a new group, who won’t have student work with
them. Does anyone know of a bank of student writing we can tap into? I
know there are a few pieces in the Common Core’s student samples [http://www.maine.gov/education/lres/commoncore/documents/Common_Core_Standards-ELA_Appendix-C.pdf] Any additional suggestions?
Good wishes and thanks for any ideas…
Tish

I don't think I need to remind Tish McGonegal that James Moffett collected a few pieces of student writing, do i? : ) Having recalled some exemplars on the Oregon Department of Ed. site some time ago, I just checked and found resources like this one: http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/page/?=529 Not exactly a "bank," but a start, I suppose. Let us know what you discover, please, Tish.
Best,
Tom
Miss you, Tish. How about Digital Is?
