About This Community
The NWP Connect National Community is an open, interactive online community where educators can share ideas and explore practices connected to the teaching of writing and the work of the National Writing Project.
Membership in NWP Connect's National Community is open to anyone with an interest in the teaching of writing. Membership comes with receipt of the e-Voice, NWP's online newsletter published six times per year. In addition, NWP Connect hosts a range of open special-topic communities, many of which are open to any NWP Connect member. Here in the National Community we feature content of the broadest interest to members including general forum discussions, blog posts by members, and announcements about areas of interest throughout NWP Connect.
Both in the National Community and throughout the affiliated communities in NWP Connect, we aim to provide space for professional discussion and respectful inquiry into topics and issues related to our key concerns as an organization. It is the responsibility of all members to assist in maintaining the highest standards of respectful, open-minded, and inquiry-oriented discussion.
Finally, although professional reviews and discussions of resources are encouraged, we prohibit commercial postings and solicitation, which we will treat as spam. Members are urged to bring such postings to the attention of the moderators. Members engaging in such behavior will be removed from the community.
We encourage you to read our full Terms of Use governing the NWP.org website and NWP Connect. If you have questions, send us an email.
