How can you identify an effective teacher?

Maybe ask the students they teach.

That's what the College Board, in conjunction with NWP and Youth Communication, did recently. The result, "What Makes a Great Teacher," is a book of five essays published in August in which students reflect on their best teachers and the qualities that made them great. Want to read more?
