Recently, the 16 Teacher Ambassador Fellows, who serve for one year at the US Department of Education, share expertise, and collaborate with policymakers and leaders in the federal government on national education issues, spent time talking with teachers across the country.
Now they want to hear from even more of us!
The US Department of Education has released the vision statement for their “RESPECT Project: Envisioning a Teaching Profession for the 21st Century.”
As part of the work of the Teacher Ambassador Fellows, the vision statement is a “teacher-written” document produced after 200 roundtable discussions with teachers across the country.
The full statement is posted for review and comment on the US Department of Education website.
